    We are bringing pesos down for tips but, in 2010 we also brought gifts for the maids for them and/or their kids. Do people still do the gift thing? If so, what types of things are hard to get there?

    Never done gift thing and have been there three times before. Upon 1st meet with housekeeper I always slip them a $20 right away ........ And sure enough our room is constantly stocked and clean and we have same housekeeper daily. Usually leave them something as well :)
