February 2014 - The official theme nights and party ideas

Every night I think is Lingerie / anything goes night!!! Lol our second time back soooooo looking forward to it!! Kick back drink and laugh till your face hurts!!!

Honestly?!?! Its the same damn thing just puked up week after week at TTR, GOV will have a field day blowing those themes out of the water.
There are a lot of couples going to TTR for more than a week and that means the same rewind on themes (that havent changed in years at TTR either) and that sucks.
I thought Cancuncare had a say in a few nights but I guess boring is the new fresh.
Do a Daisy Dukes night, leather and lace night, Miami Vice night, Camo night, 80's night, Mini skirts and Mullets night, Ugly Hawaiian shirt night for the guys.....
Dont think that we are haters its just as vacation time gets closer and we are planning the wifes outfits it is becoming clear that not much thought has gone into changing theme nights up since Blue Bay.
We missed TTR last year because of family matters and I guess 2 years worth of energy is oooozzzzing out as we get closer to vacation and making me a bit edgy..lol

We are heading to TTR regardless of the theme night specifics and I think for a lot of people, the themes are more about the unity of all the CCC peeps with stuff that is simple, easy to pack and inexpensive.

That being said, I completely agree with you that there is a ton of repetition and that may be old for a lot of people, maybe 90% of people, I dunno. Unless we all get on a conference call or meet up, it's really tough to get a consensus on complete changes since a lot of people only check the site every few days. There were a lot of great random ideas thrown out by people, including yourselves but when I was trying to create the list I was finding that there were just a lot of unique individual ideas rather than people rallying behind a specific one mentioned by someone else.

When I started posting the calendar, I made it clear that I wasn't trying to take control of it or decide anything. I was just going to do my best to convey the preference of the majority. I didn't want to just change a specific night completely because 1 or 2 people wanted it. I don't recall seeing even a single new night where more than 1 or 2 people were asking for it.

By all means though, if you want to create a calendar and rally people, we are good with anything. It's more important for us to have the most people participate than to get to wear anything specific,

In the end, we will all be drunk, having fun and I think that everything will be far from boring.

 

QUESTION.......

Looking back at old posts it looks like the idea of a Jersey night got a lot of likes. Thinking of adding this (not changing) to the white dress shirt and heels night. So, women have the option of wearing either a white dress shirt or a Jersey and the men can wear their Jersey as well. May go over well too since this will be right in the middle of the Olymipcs, team spirit should be in the air
