I hope that you're only referring to those whose permission you've asked beforehand (them and their spouse), so as not to cause any uncomfortable situations while you go about this? Remember, respect is paramount at TTR or anywhere else.
I must say this was our best year yet. Thanks to all who made our trip so much fun. We couldn't have ask for a better group to have made friends with. I'm not sure about the rest of the year, but I think the people who make up the week 8 crew are the best TTR's out there. Special thanks to all those who took the time to not only take a ton of pics, but to post them for all of us to see. If not for you, how would we relive those oh so special moments. We also have a special shout out to Lenni, Jodie and Jason for not only getting us on a way overbooked Boobs Cruise, but for also showing us the right way to party "week 8" style. Steven and Rachael
You rocked it on stage Chris!...and Jello wrestling was a blast. Had so much fun with all you guys. Will never forget it
Here's a little history on 'Week 8' & who gave us our name - Our first trip, I believe it was 2004, we met a group of crazy fun-loving people. The leader of that group was a guy named Johnny from Ocean City Maryland. Better known as OCJ - Ocean City Johnny. Ruxy, Carole & Angie were also great girls in that circle. Johnny had a timeshare at the resort adjacent to TTR that eventually become part of TTR. He had the 8th week of Feb for his timeshare so he & his 'Crew' as he called them were always there at that time. Troy & Joyce started coming to TTR at the same time as Lori & I & we have kinda carried on OCJ's tradition with the help of many great people. As to when Week 8 is officially, I don't know. We go the last week of Feb usually Wed-Wed because It fits my baseball coaching schedule. During that time we were always there for the majority of OCJ's trip. Lennie is today's version Of OCJ. OCJ was actually good friends with Steve here at CC until differences caused them to drift apart. OCJ's group was also known as the 'Crazyphuckers'. Though that name faded away the Week 8 name stuck & is still with us today. I don't want to argue that our week is better than the April, May, Labor Day, Halloween or any other group. I just know I wouldn't trade them for anyone else. We also welcome any newcomers to our 'Crew'. Just remember tho - we are still 'Crazyphuckers' at heart :daveandmo:
Thanks for the mention, let the tradition continue for many years to come. Someone pointed out "Santa Clause" to me this trip and said that will be me in many years to come, I have to admit, I certainly hope so minus the thong.
Ya... 'Santa' had as much fun as anyone... however the thong just didn't work for him. As my wife commented -the thong & even the square cuts just don't work for most guys. The board shorts are still worn by the majority. As you know Lennie, it isn't about us guys anyway. It's all about the HOT WOMEN OF TTR!!!! :flash:
Smarty pants bookies are super rad! I did 2 assignments AND managed to read the entire 1200 pages of book 4 from The Game of Thrones.... on top of all the rest of the shananagians. I'll second GEEK LIFE! :read:
I just had to post to say that my wife and I had the best time at TTR in February. It was our first time going and we were a little hesitant the first couple of days since we had no idea what to expect. I now know that it does take a couple of days to get warmed up and then it all clicks. My only regret is that we only went for four days and four nights. We will be going back next year at the same time but for much longer. I know next time the warm up period will be much shorter and we will get the most out of our time there. It is very hard for my wife and I to go out sometimes back home because she likes to get a little wild and sometimes people become very judgemental. It's nice to know there is a place where you can wear what you want, do what you want, and nobody either notices or cares. Thanks to all that we met and look forward to getting to know everyone more next year. J & K
