February 2014 Roll Call - Week 8 Crew

I noticed over the last weekend when it seemed like the placed turned over, the whole vibe of TTR changed as well as did most I was hanging out with.

I'll be back I might try for 10 days this next time.

 

I figured you guys would have been with all the extras on the way in!

I was 20 bucks over on the way there, and 80 on the way home. sigh.....
Even after ditching the glow stuff, we must have picked up 10% water some where!

 

Technically, Week 8 is the last week of the month which is when we always go and it has always been called Week 8 so maybe the name of Week 7 should be changed.

Tom has a theory for those who don't like the last part of your vacation when another group is coming in and their group has left. You have already established a friend group and it takes work to meet more people especially when you only have two more days. I knew many of the group that was there the week before we showed up from overlapping vacations over the past few years so coming in knowing people is super fun. We came in two days before you left and our group grew to over 20 at some points of the vacation. No one was in their 20's nor their 50's. I did see some younger guys in a group come in but they stayed to themselves. I hope they are not the one who stole some of our stuff because I like the single people. There were a few hanging around us like Pat and Jason. They were a riot. I asked the Mayor which week was more fun and he said Week 7 but he did seem tired. I know how I am after a week. I had a fantastic time with the Week 8 crew. About 16 of us took a day and went over to Isla on our own. We rented golf carts and had a blast. I heard the pool was pretty tame that day.

With that said, we will be back for Week 8 in 2014 with our dates either being 2/19 - 2/26 or 2/20 - 2/27 or 28.

 

Oh boy. I think we need an official ruling on what is Week 7, 8, and 9. It's easy when Jan 1 falls on a Sunday. But in 2014 it falls on a Wednesday. So it could go either way. What about when it falls on a Friday, what then????

This is definitely a discussion to have now (sober) vs. at the resort (not as much). We are trying to coordinate with some of our "Week 8" friends on dates for next year.

And yes, it really sucks being the last of your tight-knit group to leave. Not to sound dramatic, but I told Laurie it was kind of like being the last in the family to die. Too sad, watching everyone else go first. So, now we want to be among the first to leave (and the first to die, but not too soon).

I say we let the Mayor decide. Hell, he's there for almost three weeks anyways he should at least get to make the final determination on the week names right?

 

I think the people that made up the name should decide. It has always been the last week (ending with the last day of February not starting with the last days of 2013). They made up the name long before I started going. I have only been there 6 times.

 

As long as someone decides relatively soon, I'm good. Who originally named these weeks anyways?

This year, Week 8 was Sun, Feb 17 through 23rd. Not the end of February, at least from what I'm understanding here. We went Monday-Monday (18-25) and felt like a lot of the week 8 people left on Saturday (the 23rd). That really sucked.

 

OMG.... That would have been some great pics.lol Sit it next to an old fuddy duddy while he sleeps, then he wakes up and sees Walter hanging out with his wang out. I would have sheet my pants laughing.

We are so gonna be there next year. This year was awesome and I am so ready to see what debauchery and shennanigans will crop up in 2014.

Oh yea Lenni Shit Disterber (that takes the cake). I thought Sausage smuggler was awesome. Did you come up with that on your own??

 

The Week 8 Crew term was there long before I got there, I don't even know who made it up, but the only way I can "officially" decide is to say that if you are on "My Friends List" here ON CCC or "Facebook" or someone who just looks up at a complete stranger, tilts there head back and says awww with your mouth wide open for shots from a stranger with a smile looking to make everyone welcome with open arms.....to someone who needs a little lift in confidence to put on my gently used see thru underwear or sparkling pants & last and definately not least... you gave me your Brand New / Favorite Panties for some simple Mardi Gras beads from the dollar store....

No not lost, but destroyed somehow, got all scratched up.... I thought they were safe in the case and suitcase, its weird.... can't figure out how it could have happened...

I met some great people after the turnover on the weekend, but have to agree the vibe of the place definately changed and not as crazy without the all the week 8 Crew!! Hanging out with Jason & Josh was a riot over the last few days and off course Lenni & Jodie keep the party going!

Met this great couple from UK my last day, they are on here but cannot remember the CCC name but got to know Mark & his GF pretty good and this kid AKA DOUCHE comes up from pool and rubs up and grabs her ass.... I step over and tell him to have some respect and back off, well this kid wanted to make something happen but the situation settled down after her BF and Lenni step in, but this was something I did not expect to happen but not surprised by some of the characters there before we left.

It was just a small incident and not the norm but still, somthing that happens with groups of young kids at the resort
