Yes we are! We get in on the evening of the 25th. We may not do the fishing trip as it seems a bit hard to manage, but we do plan to go over to the island for a day and rent a cart, check out the amazing beach, and have some great seafood and drinks. Side note, I just printed out your thread on Jalapenos, I love spicy stuff and your drink sounds AMAZING.
Taxi to a ferry (not sure which one yet, will figure it out tonight). Ferry to Isla Mujeres. From what we hear, it's a really nice place to spend a day. Amazing beaches, good food and drinks, and some touristy stuff.
If you plan to stay the day, there is a nice park on the island (Garrafon - www.garrafon.com). It has ziplining over the ocean, snorkeling, an infinity pool, and is all inclusive (food and drinks) for like $60pp for the day. It is definitely worth going. You catch the ferry at Puerto Juarez or Gran Puerto. I think we have always left out of Puerto Juarez. Have fun!
