The 3000 block is for premier members. I would guess if there are not many premier members there, non members could upgrade to 3000 block. As far as favorite room goes, we have been going since 2001 and have only stayed on first floor of 3000 block(3104 or 3105). Walk way goes in between these 2 rooms, we sit on patio and meet many guests, very close to sexy pool, us and our friends can use our restrooms.
How is the view of the ocean from the first floor in this area (3104-3105)? She like to get up early and have coffee with a nice view of the ocean.
It would be hard very to see the ocean from any ground floor room on the entire resort. The sand/ocean is set down several steps from the pool, deck and bars. I know some resorts thing are very much flat and you can look right out from your patio and see the ocean, TTR is not one of those resorts. Also, the 3000 building by the secy pool is even set down a bit lower then the pool. You would have to be higher to see over everything.
Last year when we got there they put us over in the 5000 building. Did not like it at all. Got moved over to a room overlooking the quiet pool and it was much better. Trying for same area again this year

Our very favorite rooms are the ones with a bed and a bathroom. Seriously............we're never in there.....
The past two years we've been right by PatyO's....never thought I would like it there, but I LOVED it!! Great for outfit and shoe changes!
