yea la boom was a killer, i was there on my first and last nights in 2005 and when i left i said, "im comming here all 7 nights next year"
Hi breakers, I'm just peeking in on your board. Fat Tuesdays was only ever busy during Spring Break and on Tuesdays, otherwise they were dead, thus financial problems. La Boom had been dying a slow death for years with everyone heading to the expanding party center. We went to Terrasta last night (small place in front of Dady Rock) and had a great time. The place seemed really packed, but I think it was mostly just the size of the people there, the NFL players from Indiana were partying there and I think 5 bodies of their size filled the whole dance floor. One of the guys got me in a bear hug and I tried to put my arms around him but they could only reach his sides! Anywho, Terrasta is a great option for a cozier feeling than the giganto nightclubs.
yeah I was just there on the weekend and it's def. closed, it looks like shit I don't know why they just don't tear it down and put something else up
We drove by Fat Tuesday when we were there in January. The parking lot was being graded and some construction work was being done on the property. Don't know if it will reopen as Fat Tuesdays or some other name but something is definitely going on there.
It is DEFINITELY not going to reopen as Fat Tuesdays. There's no work going on at the actual building that was Fat Tuesdays but they are building something right next to it.
