Have you looked at Grand/Great Parnassus? That seems to be a good TTR-Lite option. Given your description, I think you'd like the Iberostar. My in-laws loved Secrets Silversands, too.
SummerBums!!! I appreciate the advice but I have been to both Iberostar and GP both were brutal for daytime and nighttime activities. At Iberostar there were less than a dozen people poolside, most reading a newspaper or book and at night very quiet. At GP their daytime contests included bingo in the pool and who can kick their sandal furthest in the pool!!! OW!!!!!! At night at GP the show was less than spectacular. The main event that everyone talks about is the party around the tiki bar. Double OW!!! That party is dependent on the personalities that show up around the bar and the staff. Tiki bar normally had about 20 guests around it. Some quiet, some loud but really not entertaining at all. It is like sitting around your kitchen table with people you don't know and don't get along with!!! But in all sincerity I do appreciate your ideas. Thank you.
Might want to check with the folks. They might want to be at TTR and have you go somewhere else. Never too old for TTR.
We have been to TTR with my parents, her parents, and both of our sisters. Just make sure they know what they are getting into and they might just have a good time.
We enjoyed the Riu, and Iberostars also Secrets. Night time is pretty bland but you can catch a trip to the strip with the hotel members and party all night!
No Cursing I am sure they would love the partying side BUT big BUT they are 100% against the foul language.
