Family Scammed in Cancun

They lost $22,000 in 45 minutes while snorkeling. Tour operator stole fanny pack and left them to fend for themselves.

Unreal. Just goes to show you have to be careful and unfortunately cannot trust people blindly. Thieves bother me...work for your money like everyone else does!!!!

 

Based on the pics in the associated news vid, it appears this experience happened while on a jungle tour. Note that this is not a common occurrence for jungle tour patrons!

 

ya, better to pay with cash and leave your credit cards in your luggage in your room!

then the guy says it was withdrawn

which would be very difficult without the PIN number

I wish I had 22,000 in my account. A thief would be sorry if they stole my card!
