F*ck You Temptations – Please Read!

Unfortunately, there is a lot of predatory behavior at TTR. 95 % of the folks are amazing, fun people. Just have to watch out for one another. If something doesn't look right, it probably isnt. So sorry to hear of your problems with security. Sounds like they have some work to do.

 

Let the bartenders know, and they will get security to handle it, and quickly. I've told Javier at the Patty'O bar, and he had someone removed immediately.

 

Was wondering if someone at the front desk who called the police might have gotten a kickback too ?
It is my opinion that the resort that I am staying at has a responsibility to protect their guests from the locals as long they are on the resort site... it looks like they were very happy to turn these guest over to the locals...

I know that if this had happen to me I would be reporting TTR on every tourist site I could find and dig up as much Sh.t I could on them and promote them as negatively as possible...long life and plenty of time to reap revenge ... but I would not be going back to Cancun...Once burned, Once learned...

In retrospect I wish I had gone back to the room, but at the same time why let this drunk guy intimidate my wife and rule my trip.

I'm sharing this story to obviously warn people of what can happen in Mexico and let people know how TTR dropped the ball big time. This was our 8th and obviously final trip the TTR. I've never taken the time to read whatever it is they make you sign upon registering at the hotel. But I assume it states that they can boot you out with no refund somewhere.

This trip ended up costing me more than double what a normal trip would cost. Even though we ended up at least finishing off the trip somewhere else the vacation was already ruined.

I can accept the shakedown from the cops, that money is long gone. But to have TTR rip us off like that, I'm blown away.

If anyone has contacts at the resort or ideas on getting some of my money back let me know.

 

Its natural instinct to react in that situation. Ive been in a couple of those in my life, and no matter how valiant my efforts, it never seems to turn out well. lol

Hope you get some satisfaction. A loyal 8 time customer deserves it.

 

Well this will stand to be a great excuse to give the timeshare goofs at check in as to why I will not buy into their resort.

 

We were there at TTR that week and did see original poster and wife there. They were completely fine to others as far as we saw. We did not see the pool incident as we were on excursion that day but there some aggressive single guys who did not know their place for sure. That was our 4th trip there and probably our last. From now on couples only like Desires or Hedonism.

 

I am very sorry this happened to your anniversary trip.. I am glad you wrote on here about it. To let others know about your experience and we can all learn something from this.. I cannot help whatsoever in your situation right now and I am sorry for this…
Here is what happened to us: my friend and I are both single woman and one late night at Patyo’s there was a single drunk guy bothering me and started to be an **royal jerk** I told him to move on and he did but bothered other people.. (whining about his wife leaving him for someone else and that he was a lawyer, blah blah blah from ireland…. I am patient and can and will not tolerate assholes… I went straight to security and explained the situation and got the single drunk guy removed from Patyo’s. It was quick and simple. I will keep doing it every trip to Temptation if I need to. Security is hired for this reason. I am sorry nobody else stepped in and did that for you guys…

I can relate to your story, and fortunately ours had a little better ending....there was a group of guys at the pool when we arrived and one of them touched a female under the water and she belted him in the mouth...security was right there and removed him. Later that night, we were at Paty'O dancing and it was white men's shirt night...Vanessa was dancing and yes, she unbuttoned her shirt....well one of the guys from that same group, thought it was open season and came up and grabbed her boob....she pushed him and I went after him (natural reaction I think), and lucky for us, security was there and kicked him out....If security wasn't there, I might have been in your shoes, yes, we should just report it to security, but the spur of the moment (with a little alcohol) and you just react....
Whenever you have a group of guys (testosterone) and you mix in alcohol, you can have issues, especially with women being half naked.....TTR dropped the ball on your incident and should have handled it differently....but we are in Mexico. Security needs to be aware of the single groups of men.....Now we met a lot of nice single guys and hung with them at the pool, so they are not all like that....
I hope you realize that TTR is a great place to spend your time and you really can't have this type of fun anywhere else.....We loved this place because of the atmosphere and the people...99 percent of everyone just wants to have a great time, but sometimes when you mix alcohol, testosterone, and half naked women, you will have this issue anywhere you go....Hopefully we can all learn a little and understand that when something starts to go bad, leave the situation, even if you are in the right....remember, you are in mexico and things might go differently then where you are from....hope you guys do come back and enjoy the really fun perks of TTR.

 

as i wholeheartedly empathize for this horrible situation, ( a mexican jail is probably my biggest fear , and being a NYCer with a brooklyn mouth, the risk is always there)... i must add that not always are the single men the problem..... last trip i had a very rough experience with a married man who became overly aggressive,,, to the point that i had to have another guy walk me back to my room and still worried that this guy would show up that night,,,, but then again I've had great meetings with singles..... and couples alike,,,,... i think this was isolated incident and hope it doesnt ruin everyones opinion of TTR.
