Unfortunately for OP there were not others around that would actually assist in the matter. At the moment the guy did enough to warrant the lady being offended to the point she felt the need to push the guy away, there should have been about 4-5 guys around to corral the single loser, then summon security and as a group, request that the clown be removed.

It is true as previously stated, the ladies need to be the first line of defense. If someone is harassing you, go to security immediately before it gets out of hand. There are a lot of men that believe in chivalry, but you are in a foreign country and that noble act may end up very costly.

Also, do not discount the possibility that these things are a set up from the beginning. The instigator may be involved in the scam with the cops.

 

If there is one major complaint we and others have had about Temptation, it's the single guys. Every time we have seen an issue with someone being out of line it has been some single clown with too much to drink who thinks that he has right to grab, harass, and insult any woman he sees. If the resort won't do anything to change things it will begin to hurt in the people coming back. It has already cost them at least one customer and I'll be willing to bet that this thread will cause others to think twice before either making that first trip or even returning.

 

I am so sorry this happened to you.
This makes me EXTREMELY nervous. This will be our first time to TTR and our honeymoon.
My husband keeps asking me how I would handle if someone is disrespectful or if someone is out of line with me. He would probably end up in jail too.
I worry because this topless optional and all the crazy sexual vibes that Surrounds TTR is almost like an invitation for single men to think its "ok" to comment or say anything.
I don't know if I should cancel going to TTR All together. I don't want my husband or I to ever be put in this situation. Unfortunately if you are going to touch me or say something completely out of line I too would take matters in my own hands.
I pray that this does not happen.
I am very nervous. I want to enjoy our vacation not having to be watching my back for some drunken single guy running his mouth at me.
I am super friendly by nature and naive to others intentions. That's one of the reasons my husband is nervous. He doesn't want some drunken single guy to misinterpret my friendliness.

 

Sorry to here about your incident.
As others have stated this almost looks like you were targeted and set up from the start.

This story in itself is enuf to make anyone reconsider going to this hotel or Cancun in general.
I always brush off people that warn me about the corruption in Mexico,, hopefully this is not an escalating thing.
TTR has tarnished it's customer relations , hopefully they make it right.

Keep in mind that these are isolated incidents out of thousands and thousands of visits. Your reaction and the potential for bad things to happen initially is the same as if you were in New Orleans, the lake or anywhere else where everyone is drinking and having a good time. There are always a few in every crowd that do not know how to behave. A very stern "NO, you need to get away" from the ladies is usually enough. Most women try to be nice and politely say no. The creeps do not get the subtle no. They need a very direct, right between the eyes, verbal cue. If that does not work, then report.

 

On a lighter note, I have a story from PatyOs

One night when we were there, my wife had gone over to the bar to get some drinks. She was standing there talking to a guy we had met earlier in the day. Then a woman walked up and got right between them. She told my wife she really liked her breasts and then she reached out to touch them.

I immediately pushed the guy in front of me.......

So I could see better.

 

I don't think its the initial incident that is really bothering any one , but how it was handled by the resort . ( not to mention the police corruption that most new of )
