F*ck You Temptations – Please Read!

I though about posting this also... however this is not first hand knowledge... they didn't see anything... and we all know how the rumor mill goes at TTR. That post is all hearsay.

 

Very hot topic......and rightfully so.

Was there things that could've (and probably should've) been dealt with differently? Yes

Is it "technically" an assault when you so much as touch someone without their permission? Yes

Are you allowed to stop or prevent someone from entering your private space? Yes......but within limits.......a simple hand out or push back to keep them from coming closer is acceptable.

Should the bartender & security have been alerted to the situation immediately so that they were at least aware of it and could monitor it and step in before it escalated to the point it did? Yes.

Many of us would have reacted differently..........but in the heat of the moment and with emotions running high I'm not sure I would have. I would like to think I would have reacted appropriately..........but sometimes a reaction happens sooner than rationalization. This happens in Canada or US..........it's a different situation.........but do I really want to be involved in a physical confrontation (or even verbal) in Mexico? No.

All in all.........after reading the 200+ replies.........I do think Ingram & Jewels story is credible.
1) we met them a couple years ago when there was a larger group of body builders there also, and, although we're not ones to jump to conclusions, we have to admit the group's presence was intimidating at first. Then after meeting them and watching the group interact.......we pleasantly learned they were very nice people and never once did we see anyone in the group intimidate or "flex" their strength or presence at any time.
2) Steve vouches to their character.
3) Probably the most credible thing........Ingram & Jewels have both posted their thoughts on this forum in a very admirable fashion. Although very upset & frustrated with the ways things were handled, both have replied in a very calm "matter-of-fact" manner.

Again, should this have been handled differently by both the OP and the resort.......Yes. Do we fault the OP to the full degree? No

Ingram, Jewels, we hope you get the refund you're hoping for........and believe you at least deserve that.

PS - Is this a drunk single guy problem? Maybe in this case, Yes. Will banning single guys prevent future incidents of this nature? No. There is as many drunk married guys that act the same way. Drunk or married, there's a small % of every crowd that can & will become a dick when drunk or drugged up.

Any way, just our thoughts........not meant to offend or challenge anybody or their thoughts & opinions. We've had our previous dealings with the Mx police.......not on our to-do list again.

OK This is FAAAR to different form the original story to be about the same incident. It is possible here there was a separate incident the same day maybe even at the same time in a different area of the resort?

If that is correct, and there was a separate incident at the same time, there is the real possibility that Ingram was mistakenly identified as the one form the second incident and this would make this whole thing make much more sense.

Now this is unlikely that two separate incidents would occur at the same time but is definitely possible. That said someone should look into this possibility at this time.

 

Sorry Ingram.. I truly feel for you guys because I could see it happening to me. I've had to get in the face of the single drunk kid and thump him after multiple attempts of telling him to back the fuck off.
I only posted that response from the FB page because it portrayed a different view than what has been reported on this thread.
I feel for you brother. Being a guy over 6' and 250 lbs, I've been accused of being the aggressor many time in life. Guilty until proven innocent is bullshit!!!

There appears to be other reports saying otherwise from the resort. There appear to be other witnesses talking about "blood" and "pushing a security guard".

Would the security guard lie about being pushed? Why would the security guard lie?

Since you're the resident internet tough guy, maybe you can shed light on this subject.

I truly want the opinion of a guy who would "beat up someone if they touched my wife, daughter, son, etc" regardless of being "put in a Mexican jail".

Funny, that when that exact scenario actually happened, you didn't do anything though. Guess you were being nice huh?

 

Apparently on the Premier Facebook site someone who only heard about the event is dressing up the story nicely.

A friend just wrote me that they just posted I hit him with a table or something now too. I think there must have been another incident that week and the stories got blended.
