Expired FM3

    Does anyone know what the fine is for an expired FM3? Had to leave unexpectedly and it will be expired by the time I get back. At the airport immigration said they could either take it from me then, or I could leave with it and would have to pay the fine for late renewal when I get back. She did not know what the fine would be. Anybody have any idea?

    Check Merida insider website, as that topic is covered. Around 3,ooo. pesos.

    Can you not "turn it in" or start the renewal at your nearest Mexican consulate? If the "fine" is $3000 pesos it seems like it would be worth a try.

    They have to be renewed in Mexico.
