We are flying with Delta. We don't like Sunwing either, and after more than one bad experience with them we decided to skip the charters. All airlines have their issues though. The price was just really good so we jumped on it.
We love Westjet, we'd pay more to fly with them. Booked one of our trip with Sunwing because it was $50 a person less than the Westjet package and it cost us a full day of our 7 day trip due to a "delay of the plane". They wouldn't even tell us that the delay was for. But they did give us a certificate for $100 off our next Sunwing flight....HA I think not Sunwing!
We are going to try to do westjet for our Feb 2015 trip. They don't fly into our airport but we will look into for neighbouring cities. I know some friends of ours love then too. Nikki

Www.alpharooms.com has the best prices if u want to compare for yourself go to Expedia and check the same days. You will most likely notice a minimum of 500.00 us difference. We only book through alpharooms now.
For Canadians we get huge discounts when packaging, which eats up any alpha room savings , but prices change a lot and its good to keep an eye on it
This may or may not be true all the time(especially for Canadians)...we are days away from booking October 4-9 of this year. If I book our airfare alone its approx $1604 CAD + alpha rooms $763 USD ($820 CAD)=$2424 CAD for our 6 day, 5 night vacation We can book same flight, same days airfare/hotel combo on expedia.ca and pay $2297 CAD....this is because booking them together gives us a savings. I say ALWAYS check all your options. Its not much but for me I'd rather use that $125 for a Boobs Cruise.
I lucked out and was able to find a great price to Cancun with air canada...saved over $1100 by booking flights and hotel separately. This is not the norm for us from SK.
