Seen this thread and thought I would share to get ambition and maybe give some of you with a month out ambition. Two years ago I before my first trip to cancun I started to work out and seen good gains. 6 months ago my back pain from a herniated disk in l5s1 started to hurt again so I quit lifting and cardio for about 4 months. I have been slowly getting back into lifting and healing up since the start of this semester and then after booking I kicked "fitness" into high gear. THis is me the 8th of feburary. Me last friday. Nothing absolutly amazing but I am proud. How did I do it? -Doubled cardio to 45 minutes daily. -Only done bodyweight lifts (dips, situps, pushups, lunges, etc) -Finally cleaned up my diet and only have cheat meals on sundays. best of luck to all
Awsome jobs, I don't have too many fat picks as I have always avoided the camera when I was bigger. I know that I hated my pics last year in Cancun so that is why I am pushing so hard to get bikini ready and I want to be proud walking around temptations. I am looking forward to this trip and can't wait.
OH man you are in trouble now. .that is so not true!! we will all know when you see the 2 of us... who is working out and who isn't !!. JUST SAYIN:wave:!!!
ok, i'm late to the party, but i want to join in too! i only have 4 weeks (and 1 day) to my first time at TTR/first time in mexico, so not alot of time. i've lost the weight over the last few years (70+ lbs) but never toned up. after having 5 kids, my body is shot to hell, and i've always just been happy that i finally lost the weight. BUT, now i have been swimsuit shopping, and would SO MUCH like to wear a bikini for the first time in decades. (i apologize in advance to all those that will see me in a bikini) =P not sure what i can actually accomplish in 4 little weeks, but i'm gonna try. reading this thread tonight has me inspired to try some weight training of some sort, and to eat better. i hate exercise, and i love my sugar. somehow i need to reverse that for the next month. i'll never get rid of the stretch marks or all the saggy tummy skin, but maybe i can flatten my tummy a little bit (eventually)... might as well start now, while i have some motivation! (ok, well, start in the morning anyways... i need sleep desparately... stayed up way too long reading this whole thing!) so addicting! ~karyn
Hi Karyn, better late than never!.. this is a great thread for motivation and questions. congrats on the 70+lbs that is amazing. my suggestion for starting a strength training program is start slow... lol you will find mussels you didnt know were there. keep us posted!
I have to agree with this, I've tried them and they really slow things down. could be a quick fix but it won't help in the long run. The more often you eat the faster your metabolism gets going hence burning more fat. What I have found in the past that worked, is drinking water, don't know why I have such a hard time with it, but I know it works min. 8 glasses a day. I've heard you can't burn fat if you dehydrated.
