Been keeping away! Not from the gym though. I'm almost 14lbs down since mid-September. Doesn't sound like much, but that's with a huge effort on my part, walking 2 miles every day and in the gym about 3 times a week. Ramping all the effort up for a last push before our next trip in 4 weeks
Congrats Trish, well lost a little initially but then had some bad cravings and bad weeks. This week I am getting serious in the gym. I decided my pants are just too tight so time to fight. Back to the drawing board. Time to get fit again.
Just done my 10 k not trained much for it but did the whole run with out stopping and I actually enjoyed it !
Haven't joined this conversation since prior to last April's trip, but we've booked for April 2016, so I guess it's time to get back at it! Just thought I would update my status before getting started. Another year older, and things change, but thankfully my attitude towards working out hasn't... hated it then...hate it now! Saved a lot of cash on the electrical bill by not firing up the eliptical over the last six months. The earth's gravitational pull must be getting stronger...things sagging to the point that I have had to lower the bathroom mirror by a few inches just to see the same things I saw last year. Thankfully there is no limit on the number of swim suits a guy can have, which means, if all else fails, and I can't get into last years without a pair of board shorts looking like spray on latex, I can just buy a bigger pair...but it is scary when the size tag starts to have more than a couple roman numerals in it! All kidding aside, hopefully I will be able to get back into this conversation with a positive attitude!
For the last month or so I have been suffering from a debilitating illness that has prevented me from working out as much as I would like. Christmas Celebration Syndrome, or as it is commonly known; C.C.S. My doctor assures me that once I have moved past one final obstacle on December 31st, I will be well enough to resume exercising in anticipation of my return visit to Temptation this April. From the lack of activity on this thread, I assume many others have been suffering from the same disease, as I have been told it is highly contagious. For those of you who have suffered through this, I thought I would post this message to let you know, "YOU ARE NOT ALONE!"
I've just got back from the gym but don't think it will make much difference as I've eat my body weight in chesse and biscuits!! I love going to the gym just really need to sort my food out !
Reading all these messages is motivating me to take my results to the next level before I decide on a date to visit TTR! 1st timer and excited!
