I need to go get more, but I got some amazing cookies & cream protein powder from Walmart... I used to make my shakes with Almond milk, but I can totally mix with water with the cookies & cream protein. I also buy the highest protein / lowest carb protein powder I can find.. Made my way to the gym on Friday, and I'm still at the same weight... Up 12 lbs from my lowest last summer... With A LOT of lost muscle tone.. Going to the gym after work today again, I'm going to get back in my groove... I'm started to get my motivation back..
The human gut is quite long, in order to digest fruits and vegetables. A wild animal, canines and such have about a 7 foot gut to quickly process meats so they don't just stay too long and sour. All vegetables and fruits, except potatoes and bananas, don't have enough calories to completely digest, so the body is forced to draw extra calories from stored fat to complete the veggie and fruit diet digestion. If it was humanly possible to eat a wash tub full of fruits and vegetables, you would still lose weight from tons of calories drawn from stored fat. The verdict? The more fruit and vegetables you eat, the more you lose. A non animal source of protein is quite desirable. Fish, nuts, legumes, egg whites, and so on. My pet peeve on the "Biggest Loser", it's phony! Some human bodies are more susceptible to exercise and will add muscle while losing body fat. People who don't lose weight or actually gain weight during the program is voted off the show. So you can see, those who lose the most weight don't gain much muscle and only lose fat, therefore declared the winner. NOT in my book! I would be more likely to hire the healthier person who did not lose weight or actually gained weight from extra muscle mass (they are the healthier people)
uhhh I have to disagree with you on the fruit & vegetables thing... If I eat a lot of fruit, I tend to gain weight, as it has carbs & sugars... And yes I'm referring to raw, not canned fruits lol
I need motivation for this last 4 weeks before .... I have no problem with going to the gym but the diet and mainly alcohol is my downfall . So what is everyone's go to diet alcoholic drink ... I love my vodka sodas with lime. Any other suggestions?
Clear liquor is the lower calorie liquor... Vodka club is my diet go to drink.. Or Vodka soda with a splash of cranberry juice
Back from TTR last night. The twice a day work outs begin today again, as does the diet. I am up 5 lbs and I don't intend to keep it. I have to say I had a blast gaining it though. 30 minutes on the elliptical done and so happy to see my gym again, cause I got weights and I can work out. I made it to the gym 5 times on vacation and danced 6 hrs on the boobs cruises the other days. TTR gym has only two sets now 35 lb and 45 lbs. Who the hell is taking these home. The gym was so busy, so I only got in aerobic and burger eating.
Yeah, I know people that drink that too, but I'm not a fan... Did another workout yesterday... Only 25 minutes, but better than nothing. I think today I'm going to attempt a 5k run on the treadmill... And if I can complete it in a halfway decent time, I may sign up for a real one this weekend...
SO..my friends, I am stopping the jenny Craig diet today.. I have not lost enough weight on it to justify the expense..Im not saying it doesnt work but I was hoping for the short term consistant weight loss of 1 to 1.5 lbs a week by staying commited 100%.. and while I did stay 98% on Jenny its not coming off.. I should be down 10 to 12 lbs by now and I am only down 5.7 lbs.. Since September I am down 10 but the first 5 lbs or so i did on my own.. Im dissapointed that this time Jenny did not work for me.. because it has worked in the past, last time I lost 25 lbs on it a few years ago.. also.. my body if fighting all the processed food, my system is not handeling it very well at all..so.. where do I go from here?... I think I am just going back to basic cooking, portion control, work out more and chuck my scale out the window.. lol when will I learn.. ;(
