I feel your pain Kim, I am having some trouble with the last few pounds as well. It was much easier last year, and I'm only 1 year older, what the hell? I have been trying some of the tips others have posted, but I think I'm going back to the nutrition/workout plan I used in the past, as I seemed to get better results. (giving up the beer is the hardest part for me!)
The reason why everybody keeps looking for the next weight loss fad is that NONE of them work long term. In fact most people will gain more than they initially lost before they go back on another diet. In my last post you do need to change your eating habit/style but you have to crank up the furnace to get rid of the unwanted coal. And yes Kim two dress sizes is not out of the question in 2 months but you really need to bust butt!
well gonna get back to it this week.. I am also going to go back to Jenny Craig.. see if that helps.. once i am at my goal weight.. I have learned in the last month how to maintain it .. lol I will continue the exercise and weights.. cause .. i like it .. well not really but its important .. lol
oh come on guys.. its only for maybe a month or 2... its an easy way out I know ..and it works for me .. as long as I keep doing the Bells and cardio it should be all... good. cut a girl some slack will ya!.. lol
Here's my thing Kim. I've dieting hard for 6 weeks n working out 4-5 days a week(no cardio for me). Now the scale has only went down 5 lbs, but my belt has shortened two holes n my abs are starting to show. So in short, i don't give a shit what the scale says. My clothes n my mirror are showing my results!! And there's still another 8 weeks to go...
I totally get that.. but I can tell by the way I look that its not working for me that 8 weeks is not going to put me where i want to be .. If i didnt have a dead line for April.. I would continue doing it the right way...but ..I really am not seeing the results that I think I should have. Mirror or scale...I dont think I am expecting too much.. and Jenny craig may not work this time either.. but I am going to give it a try... I am sure it will give me the results I am looking for.. with the exercise I am doing now... guess we'll see.. well you will see in April,,hopefully.. haha!! update.... AND!!.. if I was you age .. it would be easier!!!...so there, take that!!!..lol
Hey i'm 40 also! I totally understand your frustration. And if things aren't progressing the way you want then maybe change is in order. I admire your dedication n your conviction to looking better
