    OH!! and BTW -0 is not right.. its actually, by your numbers -4 :aktion033: see the 3 up cancels out the 3 down which leave -4..lol

    I have 29 days to lose my belly fat! I have been exercising everyday in the morning with my husband on the elliptical/treadmill for an hour then I return back to the gym and part take in spin class or boot camp! I have lost inches but not so much weight! I'm ok with that because of the inches lost even though I've lost my butt in this process of exercising! Now I have to tunnel all my energy on losing my stomach pouch!! Any suggestions on what exercises I should do every day??

    hmm.. well Im no expert but pretty sure targeting exercise doesn't really work.. so doing a specific exercise to just target belly fat would be a waste.. however training the body as a whole will, core workouts are the key.. and cutting some calories would help as well.. not sure what your caloric intake per day is but cutting 500 calories a day will really help providing you are not below 1200 per day.. its so hard to give this kind of advise.. I like Atkins.. it works for me .. it took some tweaking for me but it worked very well. after I did all of my reading.

    29 days is not much time.. to get a bunch of weight off but 8 lbs in a month would be doing really well..

    while it sounds like I know what i am talking about .. this is all just live and learn for me.. lol ;) good luck..

    Its different for everybody, but here are the things I can recommend from what i've been learning recently (This crap also seems to change every few years lol).

    #1. Monitor everything you eat. Learn what good fats and bad fats are.
    #2. Eat more of your daily carbs early in the day and less at night.
    #3. Protein... Lots of it..
    #4. While you aren't losing weight, but you are losing inches, that shows that you are buliding muscle... Remember that the more muscle you build, the easier it is to burn off other weight because the lean muscle will burn the fat to make energy.
    #5. Monitor your heart rate. You may be pushing yourself past fat burn heart rate zone and into cardio rate... Which will build more muscle but burn less fat...




    We haven't been back to the gym since the broken foot... Its been a week and I feel fat and disgusting... :( Gotta get back next week (Assuming we don't end up getting slammed by the blurricane)...

    I did not know about #5 and how the heart rate matters. How do I determine what heart rate I should be to burn fat and not build muscle!

    Most cardio machines typically have a chart for target heart rates... And its different for some, but a simple rule of thumb is this...

    On another note... Wife & I went to the gym last night for the first time in two weeks..... To shower since we still have no water after the hurricane lol.

    We did the same thing went to the gym and worked out and then took a nice hot shower yesterday morning! Still have no power!

    Thanks for the chart! I do tend to have a higher heart rate going on when I work out on the elliptical! I guess I should slow down a little.

    Back from holidays 5 days now.. I did gain a couple back on holidays but its off again.. think it was just mostly water retention. so I would like to lose another 10 lbs.. anyone one want to join me?
