Whose in misery, I love working out. Just wish it was painfree and I could push myself the way I want to be pushed.
Monique, I'm always in pain lately, been pushing my routines harder since I only have a little over a week left of this 8 week program! I feel great though! You can do it! And I think that the pain is just the muscles working, so I did good at working them out with that routine!
Nope the pain Carrie is my knee being bone on bone as the cartilage is gone due ot sever Osteoathritis.1/4 of my femur is bone on bone. I wish it was only muscle pain. Yep got muscle pain too but I am even in pain in my sleep. Still it's like almost 6 weeks to Cancun and if I am gonna feel good in a bikini I will be pushing it hard in the next 6 weeks. I have also lost 2 inches of muscle on the one leg, becasue of the osteoathritis and it is speading to my fingers now too.
sorry to hear that m. arthritis has many ugly forms. glad you still workout alot of people give up and dont move around so much. they say to keep moving, im sure it can be a big chalenge some days. keep up the spirits and see ya in cancun. hope you have a great time at the stampeade.
Didn't know that was the issue Monique! Sorry to hear that! Don't push too hard, you don't want to hurt yourself too badly before you go to Cancun! I'm pushing myself hard, but had to back off a little bit, just eating cleaner, finishing up my Butt Lift routine, and doing an ab workout, not doing too much, but enough so I feel good about it!
well i gues i should put myself back in the motivation mode!! so here goes starting tomarrow im going to keep a log on wieght ect. and see if i can put it together for sept. i guess i have no choice if i want clothes to wear, i refuse to buy new when what i have is new!! ha ha good job to those of you who have been behaving. it is alot of dedication, something i havent been real good about lately. but i guess i have to start somewhere. carrie really is a bummer that we will miss ya this year! maybe nexr year you can go a little later!
Hello everyone! I have 17 more weeks until I'm back to the resort! I need to get back into shape and lose weight and tone my muscles! I would like to lose 10-15 lbs by then but my body is not doing what I would like. I am thinking if I have support from all of you and help I might no I will succeed!! My plan right now is doing the 30 day shred videos m-w-f and do the Zumba video on tue-thurs! Plus do the treadmill for 30 minutes every day with one day rest. I will also watch my calorie count and stay between 1200-1400 calories. Do you think that is doulable? Or should I change it?
Welcome to the thread. Sounds like a great program, you should make your goal. If theres anything we can do just give a shout.. sometimes posting your progress keeps you motivated..we will be watching!!! haha!! :wink3:
My wife and I are doing something something similar (although adjustments have been made over the last few months). We are alternating between running 5 km (usually on the treadmill) and biking daily. I am also alternating between two apps on my phone - a 100 push-up and 200 sit-up challenge as well as doing the Jillian Micheals Revelation (or something like that). The Jillian Micheals is my wife's idea but apparently I am going to look hot is a sun dress and tank top when I'm done. I'm so excited (tongue in cheek). We also watching what we are eating and taking one day off each week. Keep in mind, when I started - I couldn't run more then a minute, I couldn't do one quality push-up. I have started with what I could handle and added more as I went along. I have also found that I like fruits and salads - who knew?. I have weened myself off Pepsi, nachos, ice caps, and wings. Anyway, in the past 10 weeks - I am down 30 lbs and my wife is done 10+ lbs (I had more to lose). If we can do it - so can you. I wish you the best of luck and pm me if I can offer any help. Jim
So your story is about what mine was a few weeks ago. I wanted to lose 15 before I go for Labor Day, I'm done 9 pounds so far, but everything is much tighter and toner. Just keeping working at things, and remember one thing I found, you will have to change things up every so often because your body will get used to the same movements and you see a plateau. As your calorie count, make sure your deficit of claroies used during the day is between 500 to 1000, if you are over 1000, you usually won't lose weight. What I'm doing is working for me, and I'll be great in 6 weeks, but you just have to find what works for you! Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great! :clappyinghappy:
