I'm pretty sure it's a local company in St. John's, NL.....but I think it's similar to Simply for Life. No supplements or anything crazy to buy, just normal food from the grocery store.
Today was a non traditional workout day for me. Cut, split and hauled firewood for 4 hours today. I worked through the stiffness from my Thursday night workout. I'm feeling it all again, but I keep telling myself no pain no gain, and look at the positve side, I got alot of work done and a great workout all at one time. I am noticing more and more that I don't need the smokes, that is one of my biggest goals to quit. Tone, up, quit smoking and spent some quality time with my dad and my 18 yr old daughter. I also agree with the above mentioned, that going to TTR is a great motivation! Finally less than 6 weeks for me to go back!
Just wanted to give a quick thanks for this, started using it yesterday, its pretty neat. Good idea to keep track of what I'm doing. It has made me more aware of what I'm putting in.. though its only been 1 day I'm hoping it will help me stay in check. thanks
ok today is monday. cold is on the way out, so back to the gym. i really want to lose that last 10 lbs. or 7 then tone really well! had a bad sat. i dyed my hair, must of been a bad batch of dye, i look like the dee burger clown!!!!!!!!! and not all over!! just patchy!! good thing its amoinia free!! should wash out in a nother two weeks. hopefully!!! oh well wont use that brand again. shit was one of the most expensive too!!! ha ha ha ha! so for the meen time i need to stay away from my red clothes! hope every one had a great weekend and a productive one as well. im slimmer but well, there is a ways to go!
K I had a decent weekend but dipped into the Sambuca saturday night. Didn't feel the knee so I danced and then payed dearly for it on Sunday. Well the diet okay though but I am a little worried on how I am gonna dance for two weeks and walk every day in Cancun. All I can say is Sambuca is defintiely gonna be close to me and I think the crutches may be coming too.
Hey Ladies! This is a great thread and although I am lucky not to have to diet, I am in my 40's and it's a struggle to keep things from sagging southward despite exercising 5 days a week. Since the main posters here seems to be the gals I will be meeting in April, I thought I would chime in with 3 things that I do to help keep the weight off and tone up for TTR in case any of them might be helpful for you. First, I stopped struggling with the last 5 pounds of weight by cutting out carbs completely at dinner time. I eat meat/fish/chicken at dinner, but no starches when I have dinner at home (at restaurants, it's a free for all!). Those last 5 pounds disappeared and stayed off without me doing anything else in terms of diet or increasing my exercise. Try going without the dinner carbs just for the next 5 weeks til our April trips. I have recommended this to other people and it has worked for everyone. Of course, you have to avoid eating carbs AFTER dinner as well. I am very strict about no snacking at night. Second, I could just never seem to get my butt in good enough shape despite lifting weights, doing classes, and cardio workouts. I came across an article for the Brazilian Butt Lift DVDs, and ordered the set (about $80), and after 4 months, I noticed a significant difference in my legs and butt. I started doing the DVDs 2 years ago, and I am still seeing improvement. I bet I could crack a walnut with my buttcheeks now ha ha. Not perfect, but I think that perfect is too much to ask for in your 40's. The nice thing is that you don't have a buy a bunch of equipment to do the DVDs. They are available on Beachbody.com (or eBay is sometimes a bit cheaper). Third (and this one is a big cheat), I go for a body wrap before my beach trips. You can watch videos about the wraps on You Tube. The first wrap I did was a Universal Contour wrap, but I understand that the wrap I have booked before my April trip is even better (a Slendertone wrap). The idea of the wrap is to suck the toxins out from between your cells, and you immediately lose inches. I don't have a lot of inches to lose, but I definitely saw some inch loss and tightening up where I needed it. The wraps cost about $170. Not cheap, but the results are great, and if you eat properly and exercise, you can maintain the results for several months. Heavier people would get a series of wraps. Apparently a heavier person can lose up to 10 inches in one session (spread all over your body). They even wrap your neck to tighten everything up under there. So there you go. Food for thought. I look forward to meeting you all in April! And Carol, big kudos to you for sticking to your goal to quit smoking!
Thanks Karen, when you say cut out carbs.. do you mean all carbs?.. so, no bread, potatoes, veggies, pasta, beans, Milk, fruit?. and eat protein only? and what would the serving size be, as much as you can eat?.. interesting bit on the body wraps, I have never tried one before.. how long before your trip do you have it done? PS...I quit smoking too, about 6 weeks or so ago too..lol
