I've been really trying to avoid the dam thing but felt pretty good and jumped on this am - was suppose to wait till tomorrow anyways... jumped on and nothing!!! I usually weight in the am before workout... so I will take your advice and try before dinner... hmmm good thinking then maybe those dinners will be easier to avoid.. or be alot more diligent with dinner.. I'm not giving up!!! But really !! considering buying a new scale... like seriously maybe tonight...LOL and run that other F*&ker into the ground :angrymad:....LOL
hahah!! I have a weight wathcers scale.. it will show a 1 ounce loss.. haha!! but seriously Deb.. dont skip meal.. but as a small adjustment.. add a bit more calories to your afternoon lunch and snack and have a lighter Dinner..cause serioulsy.. I dont think you are eating enough calories which you need to eat to lose weight.. I know.. that sounds weird.. lol if your body does not get enough calories everyday.. it will hang on to the fat.. oh and BTW.. you should have stopped at, I was feeling pretty good.. cause now stepping on the scale has you frustrated.. you are doing an awesome job Deb.. it will pay off..
so.. I have to have one more story today.. I wonder how many of you have felt like this.. so in December we start looking at flights to TTR.. but its christmas and oh well I am not gonna diet over christmas.. then, Newyears and well I want to party so I will wait a bit but through that time you have pretty much given youself permission to gain weight.. and sometimes it can be up to 10 lbs or more.. so then you start looking at TTR trips again, you think.. OMG.. I better start losing weight for my trip so you start dieting and working out and try really really hard and pissed off that the weight is not coming off, so you blow it .. you give up and eat your face off again.. then its time to get serious about booking so you look again for trip packages and on the roller coaster you go again .. dieting and working out and the same thing, bang, fall off and eat poorly again cause its not working (FAST ENOUGH) so you give up.. Now.. you find a trip!! and book it .. you have 3 month to loose the weight.. so you start your diet back hard this time.. and stick to it very strict.. but time has run out and you lost a bit but not what you wanted. here is the thing girls, you are still going to TTR.. but now you feel like shit cause you didnt lose the weight and now selfconsious about your body and swear that next year will be different.. Girls, that is my life in a nut shell.. it really didnt matter what the reason was for loosing weight .. there was always something. but whats different for me this time is .. I am working out and learning to eat properly for my trip next year.. April 2013 and for the one after that.. lol .. I want off this rollercoaster.. I am tired of it .. it makes me feel bad when I dont succeed at yo-yo dieting and makes me eat more.. it messes up your metabolizem and your head.. I am going to ttr come fat or thin..hahah!! just take it one day at a time and know that for at least today that you made good choices, ate healthy food and got your workout in for the day.. whoa.. that so sounded a bit preachy.. so, I am done.. lol
Naw Partydollgirl that sounded good, really good. And your right, I'm going to TTR and I'm going to have fun... did last year so what the hell, and well shit at least this year I'm working out.. so I can say I really tried...
Preach on Kim!!! For me, when it finally became about my health, instead of how I look, is when I was finally able to make the switch from yo-yo dieter to lifetime eating changes. I'm not saying I eat perfectly all the time...that's not real life, but I make good choices in food more often than not these days and exercise has become just another part of life. My motivation??? The fact that my 27 year old son has NO LIVING GRANDPARENTS to attend his wedding is definitely a contributing factor. I've lost too many people I love too early in their lives largely because of choices they made in caring for their health. I want to attend the weddings of my grandchildren and dance while I'm there! Deb, don't give up...it does sound like you may not be getting in enough calories. Our bodies are smart and if we don't give them what they need daily they switch to storage mode and hang on to the extra that's already there. You might want to try an app like fitnesspal; it will help you determine the calories you should be eating per day to reach your goal and will take exercise in consideration as well. It can be very eye opening. You put in the food you eat throughout the day and your exercise and it tells you what you stil need to do. I wish you the best! You are already beautiful....this is just about being beautifully healthy and you're already ahead of where you used to be in that endeavor! Take care!
Geez sweetie thanks... really to bad we won't see you guys this year.. But next year girl look out... Then we can be the girls dancing on those tables and look just as good as they do... if not better...LOL Cheers
Here here.. all excellent points Allison.. thanks you for sharing your story.. this is what motivates us all to make better choices.:sunny:
DO NOT SKIP SUPPER. Here's something tricky: eating healthy n eating to lose fat are 2 different things. Meaning you should avoid all juices, mostly every fruit and any carbs that arent brown rice-oatmeal-green salads-sweet potatoes-brocoli-cauliflower-etc. you get the idea? Eating to lose fat sucks lol But with will power can be achieved
I agree with you Dan.. it is 2 very differnt things.. I am doing the eating healthy trying to keep it balanced an on the low side of calorie intake and I am losing weight slowly.. when I get to where I want to be I will up my calories somewhat to maintain it .. this part I have no experience with .. it will be a learning experience for me. maintaining I mean.. lol
