hehe this is my fourth time and I've never been to any ruins either! This year we want to go to Isla Mujeres, wave-runnering, Xcaret, and maybe xel-ha. LEt us know if this might interest you.
40-60 a half hour. 80-100 an hour. We usually do Aquaworld or the beach waverunners.... so fun busting ur bottom on the waves! hurts a few hours later though. Aquaworld's rates: US$45 + tax 10% per wave runner for half hour US$82 + tax 10% per wave runner for an hour
Can I give you my two cents???? I have been to both Xcaret and Xel-Ha, and I think Xel-Ha is the greatest day I have ever spent in Cancun...snorkeling wise. If it's snorkling you want above all else, I think you would be disapointed at Xcaret. They offer other Mayan sites and performances that Xel-Ha doesn't, but I would never go back.
i think i wanted to go xcaret because of the wildlife. Isn't there a penguin reserve there? If so that might have sold me.... im a penguin lover.... like jessica alba in Good Luck Chuck lol
Not sure about the Penguin exhibit, but I know there was something with Dolphins, and I didn’t like the way they were handled. I stayed at an adjoining resort, and we had to walk through the Dolphin display (well, that is where we snuck in), and it looked way too tiny for them, and pretty dirty. But since you aren’t into snorkeling, I wouldn’t do Xel-Ha….they claim that there is a Barracuda in the water. I think I spent too much time making sure I didn’t run into him.
