I totally agree with that one, if this is not against the rules, and nothing is except for the lingerie night, then of course people can take pictures and there is nothing to say against that. I guess i'm saying they should have more camera free events in the futur.
Well actually in the OP, I was commenting about a small group of people who thought they were "all that" and were being rude by approaching people who they didn't know and accusing those people of taking pics of their group when no such thing was actually happening. And that someone using a phone does not mean he is taking pics. Granted, and as has been pointed out, my grammar in that post wasn't the best, so perhaps my point got lost during translation. Doesn't matter though, I'm quite enjoying reading the responses.
Times are changing for sure. When we first went to TTR we as well as others took all kinds of pics. But we respect peoples privacy and at the time were naïve to the new world of social media. Now it's a whole new world. A world of people losing their jobs over even innocent pics. I guess that's why some people are so defensive
I suppose. But if someone is that concerned then they should think twice about what they are doing rather than worry so much about what they perceive others are doing. Because they need to be concerned about what they can't see. And while I think it is dispicable, I'd be willing to bet money that there are people who do take pics and video using cameras that are not in plain sight.
You keep editing your original comment #1,, thing is it won't change in post # 2 , when I Quoted you, so the original stays there. Now this one won't change.
Actually I'm glad you mentioned it because you misunderstood me. I said the group in question was ragging on the Chaos Crewe. The group was not the CC but seemed to view them as competition, which I found amusing since from what little I know about the CC they seem like very reasonable people. I have absolutely no issues with the Chaos Crewe. I'm sorry you misunderstood and I hope this clarifies that now. I edited my first post to correct some grammar mistakes, not to change the meaning of what I was talking about. Ps just to clarify farther, the "mediocre" comment had to do with the offensive group, and was not about the Chaos Crewe's women members.
Some of my best memories of TTR are memorialized in photo. Example, as I competed in Iron Woman..and won.. my hubbie took pics! If someone doesn't want to be randomly in anothers photo topless, why go topless @ all on vaca?? I agree about the creepers, but what about the everyday vacationer? Can we not take pics on our own vacation to appease the sensitive??? BTW, we will be there 1/4-1/9, so beware of our camera, lol
exactly ! what if I hand my camera to a random and they take a photo of me in my killer pajama party get up ? might someone in the background be offended ?
We all have tons of pictures from when we're there. And yes, some people do get caught in the background. I'm sure my wife is in the background of many pictures, I even found her passing in the background of a YouTube video! As a husband I can say that I don't care if she's in the background of somebody's private photo's. The problem is when people put these photos on the internet publicly without blurring out faces. We all go there, we all have a good time and most of have done things there we don't need on the internet. But, I don't think the problem is with the people on this site. The problem is with the "outsiders" or the large groups of single guys (I'm not trying to start that discussion again). Either way, I do agree that a camera "blackout hour" or hours would be a good idea. I think it should be done during the games and later in the afternoon when most people become a little more daring (and especially by the sports pool after 2am, LOL). BTW, we have never posted even one picture from TTR publicly anywhere and if we ever did there would be no faces.
