Any ideas Steve, is it the same chain?
Here's to Queen and Country!
I don't recall, but it gives me a reason to stop by in the next day or so!
What a trooper!!!!
Oh, ho-diddly-ho, you two!! Yes, yes, I meant definitely! I hadn't been to the pub on Sunday either, I have no excuse! *hangs head in shame*
Ok I stopped by for lunch today
The beer choices were extensive over 50+ bottled and 24 on tap
I could not write down or remember all of them but here’s some of them
Bottled from UK:
Fuller Lundon Porter
Malkeson XXX Stout
Whitbread Pale Ale
-double choc. Stout
McEwan’s Scotch Ale
Skull Splitter 9%
On Draft were:
Kiltlifter Scotch Ale
Btw, the food was very traditional
Thanks for that!!
I'm looking for Carling, it's my boyfriend's favourite beer from England, he would be there everynight if they sold it!!!
I'm hoping that they are part of the chain that John mentions - with Stella on the drinks list and fish and chips on the menu I'll be there several times a week for sure.
I'll see if I can find out more information as to whether they are or not. I suspect not as I think the owner is purchasing the place outright rather than going through a franchise.
lol yeah I forgot your Stella!!
We'll have to educate this bloke Steve as to what an English pub really means for us that live here. ie curry and baked beans
If this place doesn't pan out to be what you guys are looking for, consider the situation as a oppourtunity for YOU GUYS to set up shop!
There clearly is a market for an English Pub that serves up the standard fare that you like! Lots of red tape tho...that's why I have moved my focus down to Belize.
I'm close to a deal there.....
