Never a problem for us. I actually lost my wedding ring somewhere on the night stand after a blurry night but the maids found it and put it on my pillow. The only problem we have seen at TTR is another guest stealing from guests in August 2012. Someone saw a guy steal expensive sunglasses and an Ipod from a chair at the Sexy Pool. The couple knew the stuff didn't belong to him so they alerted Tiger and Management came out to the pool. They escorted him back to his room - where they found more stuff - like shoes and hats and he got the big boot. We all waved at him as he checked out. Loser!!
I've had more issues with guests. Seen guests steal towels and sunscreen off chairs...I love the staff at this place and the respect they show. I've heard of nightmares at other places including when I stayed at the Riu. This place is for adults and run by adults, not children and you are treated as such...what the other guests do is another matter.
I've only been to TTR one time, in late August. I didn't notice any cockroaches at all. Probably a good thing for me as I was drunk all week and, probably would've tried to fuck it!
Haha... I laughed so hard when I read this I almost coated the computer with my morning coffee. I was expecting Jenn to come out and ask what the hell was going on. Off to visit the cockroaches in 2 days... I'll say hi for him.
If or when I do fuck a cockroach, I'll be sure to do it in public! Then I'll be the top dog of "Doggers"!!
Great info to have for us newbies. We had also seen the Tripadvisor reviews, and that's one of the reasons we joined the forum. Nobody in this community has posted anything about theft or loss, and there are a lot of folks who've been there many times. We're already aware of the timeshare scam, and will flatly refuse that. Still, we'll keep our valuables in the safe. As stated in some of the previous posts, if we lose anything, it will be inhibitions.
Yes they will, but they deserve every tip they get. I even tip the staff others forget about. All the staff work very hard to make your trip the bet ever for very low wages and deserve more than just a thank-you.
