It's an "Internet effect."

If you were at some party environment, just sitting around with folks having a conversation and that got dropped into conversation, the people could just look over and understand by the non-verbal language Exactly what you meant, or at least they'd be able to "get more" out of what you said.

But, in a text-only medium, they only get the words, without emotional or intellectual subtext, so their own minds supply whatever is laying around to hand there... in their own minds. It is areal thing.

It's hard to be objective and see words for just what they are... words, without the other 90% of non-verbal stuff coming through. Why do yout hink people talk with their hands?

 

That’s the huge reason I don’t like texting sometimes. The context is often times lost in translation. I often find also that some people are just driven to be contrarian no matter what. You could present at any given time one view point of a topic or the opposite at another time, and that person will argue with you the other side regardless. If that makes sense? Heard a speaker say this once and it’s really so true, when you can give up the need to be right, your life and relationships will all tremendously improve.

I'm In NYC.....our officials are saying that the APEX will occur on Easter Sunday and then numbers should start declining. Wuhan just started getting back to norm. At that pace (considering society still practices safe social distancing) we should be back to somewhat civilization by June or July
