    Saw some great deals on Applevacations out of St. Louis for first two weeks of June . Hope this is far enough out.

    We were supposed to go the middle of May but rescheduled for the end of July. Still unsure if that will even happen.

    Being from SE Texas, first time ever in 40+ years, really looking forward to June because both hot humid weather & hurricane season will kill off the damn virus...

    First article is an opinion piece about Cancun written by someone who lives in Campeche, and appears to be 90% fiction. Clearly has no clue,
    of the current situation in Cancun and seems to represent how it was 2 or 3 weeks ago.

    Second is not so bad but is 9 days old and out of date.

    J/K... I would have guessed higher though. The busiest store around is the liquor store here... it's like pre-Thanksgiving Day grocery shopping crowded in the liquor store the past few days...

    A public service message for Canadians who had flights booked with WestJet in April:

    Westjet is not giving refunds, but all the money will be put in your travel bank and does not expire for 2 years. You probably know that already. However, the email from WJ confirming the cancellation of your flight states that to the extent you had booked with travel bank dollars, the original expiry date for the that portion of your "refund" remains in place. This threw me into a panic, as I booked my April/20 flights with about $900 I had in my travel bank, and those dollars would have expired in a week!

    I called WJ and the agent extended the expiry date on those old vacation bank dollars to April 3, 2022. Whew. I thought I was going to have to go postal on WestJet, but they were very good about it.

    So if you booked your Cancun flights with travel bank dollars, make sure you call WestJet to have them extend the expiration date on those dollars being returned to your travel bank so you don't lose them before you can rebook.

    John, please tell me all the boozers were maintaining social distancing? :eek: Contrary to popular belief, alcohol does not kill the coronavirus...it just makes you worry less about it. ;)
