Our first trip was this year and we stayed for an 7 nights. We also arrived at 10:30am on the first day. For us, it was a little too long. Although we had an amazing time and can't wait to go back, it was MAYBE a day too long. My wife and I take frequent vacations, so if we were a once or twice a year vacationer, I would stay for a week!
Earlier today, we were trying to do the math on how much it would cost to just move in for a year, if that answers your question.
our last time we stayed at Temptation for 4 nights, Desire for 3. Both great in their own ways, but completely different vibes for sure. Desire is surely sexy, but way laid back versus Temptation. This time (our 30th wedding anniversary trip) we're staying at Temptation for 5 nights, Secrets Aura for 2 then Platinum Yucatan Princess for 3. Figured we'd finally see what all those mayan ruins and stuff are for the last part of the trip and help our livers recover. Most recollections of our previous visits are kinda hazy, but we smile a lot thinking of them. :ernaehrung005:
We did the same thing on our first trip. 4 days at Temptation then 4 days at a "quiet" resort. It threw us into complete shock!! If you're sure you want to split your trip we agree with those who suggest going to the Riu first then finish your vacation having the time of your life at Temptation! We always have a blast but for us 6-8 days is perfect. Hope that helps!
We usually stay a 7-10 days and it's just never long enough. You make friends and then hate to leave them.
We've stayed at several RIU's & Tmeptation. They are night & day different. If you must do both, start out at a RUI, then party your a$$ off at Temptation.
