We do a week then go to somewhere quiet in PdelC for a long weekend detox/rest recover before going home to reality .
The party scene at Desire is jut different. I should be clear we went to RM, not Pearl. It's a smaller, more spread out resort, so it's never the rowdy party TTR is. Of course that depends on who is there that week. But even as experienced swingers, there are some things that didn't work for us at the resort. Sometimes we still end our trips with a couple days at Desire, but that's really when we're ready for relaxation and premium food. The party is definitely at Temptation. We cabbed it's back ourselves instead of arranging a transfer, and I think it was about $50 US. We were pretty lucky there was still room at TTR as it's often full, so we got credit for the difference, which we used on our next trip. Oh, and we always tell people this if they're curious about Desire: Don't bother booking it ahead of time at the expensive rates online. Book Temptation for your full trip. TTR books up, and then when you arrive, they always offer people the option to switch to Desire, and usually for the same rate you would be paying at TTR (or drop a hint that you're curious about checking out Desire). You'll likely get transferred for free, and some perks, along with a much better rate, and you can always just leave this to be a last minute decision (ie. you get to see how much you like TTR first)
First trip was 7 and that was not enough. Second trip was 10 and was perfect I even could have stayed longer. The third trip was 10 but we got stuck my Patty O's first floor and I was done after 5 days. If we had another room I would have been fine.
I own a travel agency and was kind of having the same debate with myself...I have to go to Cancun and do some personal site inspections at some of the resorts that I sell to my clients, so after some advice from experienced TTR guests, I decided to do those 2 resorts site inspections first, and then come to TTR for 7 days and end it with a 4 day site inspection ( detox) at another resort....So if you do decide to do another resort, you may want to do it first as that was the advice i was given

Our first trip I booked 7 days and 6 nights ... and we got there mid week... this Trip I booked 8 days and 7 nights... and will get there mid week... Each night is a different theme at TTR and we did not want to miss any of them...so we are not going to... Word ! :lotsofmichaelfs:
To us, 4 days would not be near enough. We were ther for 7 nights earlier this year and going back for 7 more in 67 days (yes anxiously counting). We considered staying for longer, but at some point we need to catch up on our sleep and give our liver a break. :wink3:
If you split hotels I would say go to the Rui first. If you go to Temptation first you will die of boredom at the Rui Ok seriously now, if you want to party your little asses off Temptation is the best resort we have ever been to! We usually do 10 days because our livers can't handle much more. The world is full of beautiful relaxing resorts but we have only found 1 Temptation and our goal is 2 or 3 trips per year You may see the word "addicted" in lots of these posts!
WOW....I guess Hubby did the best thing when he booked for 10 days!! By the sounds of everyone's posts that's the perfect amount of time!! And since we haven't had a vaca in 4 yrs!!! This is going to be perfectly heaven!! D
