I've made the Mix That Drink recipe a few times and they are messy but great. They are always a huge hit at Kurt's birthday party. We also did skittles vodka for the last party and that didn't turn out as good. Plus it took 3 hours to filter the candy gunk out of the vodka! Only make that when you have some time to kill. It looked pretty though!
I have made vodka gummy bears with bubblegum vodka for the last two trips to Temptation. I soak my bears for a week. I have found that using a glass bowl and adding smaller amounts of vodka over a week is key. The night before we leave I strain the excess alcohol and bag up the gummies. My favorite recipe is cola bottles and Appleton rum. Same process as above.
Just got back from TTR, took gummies and a bottle of whip vodka and quart size bags. In room divided them up, poured vodka on them and then let them sit 2 days in frig, made sure to turn and mix them so they would not stick together. Carried to the pool in collapsable cooler and started the party! I like Mommabear's idea with peach schnapps will have to try that
Forgive me if this was already asked, but are you allowed to bring the pre-made drunken gummies in a baggie on the plane in your carry on? I don't want to get into trouble with customs or have to throw them away!....
I have brought a couple bags on a few trips with no problem at all with customs. But I would double bag them just in case of a bag breaking and have that all over everything in your carry on.
I have packed the gummy bears in my luggage double bagged and also in my carry on. I had a flight last week and had some regular gummy bears in a plastic bag and they were opened and sniffed by security to make sure there was no alcohol in them. I wouldn't chance it in your carry on.
We just brought the vodka and gummi's separately and poured the vodka in when we got there. Within 2 days all of the alcohol was soaked up so it worked out fine. You can bring up to 2-750ml bottles per person with no hassle. So we had Fireball too! LOL
