Is this a new policy? We had our camera in the sexy pool most of the time last year, and several others did too.
Yea, we just bought a water-proof camera dammit!! lol... I know we definitely took several pics in the sexy pool last year...
We don't ban cameras on the cruise, I think it's only fair that people can take pics to remember their day out by. I dont recall seeing video cameras hardly at all, apart from when we hired a videographer for a promo video once. Although, of course most cameras and many devices such as phones etc can take video these days. We do expect everyone to be respectful of others, both on the cruise and afterwards when sharing pictures. We have more problems from passing boats and various people on those who have never seen a pair of tits before, than on our own.
I have only ever seen staff enforcing a no-pictures policy at the Sexy Pool during the games (Ironwoman, etc). But they definitely ARE strict about it then.
We have mixed thoughts about it. Every body is entitled to there privacy and of course (WE) would never post pic of others---- But we end up coming home with out any pic of the great times that you people so us---Kind-a brakes our hearts
We are in the anti camera group. We had several incidents in 2010 because there was basically no enforcement at the pool or lingerie night or games. However, based on more recent trip reports and comments it appears like enforcement is stricter and that is creating a better camera atmosphere where they are only used to take pics of people you know and their fun. We hope that is what we experience in April!
I should have mentioned that cameras are def not allowed during the Nice Shoes portion of lingerie Night, so if you are shy about running around in your skivvies, you don't have to worry about photos until you leave Nice Shoes. If you choose to go to Paty-O's afterward in your gonchies, pictures may be taken of you.
Guiness Girl (and Bud-light Girl): I am one of those people who REALLY does not want their picture taken without permission. I fall into that "teacher/professor" category and while I doubt that I would have problems with work, like losing my job, I do not want a picture coming up out of nowhere when applying for a new job or even worse, my family seeing them (VERY conservative family who does not 'forgive' easily). With that said, I am a big believer in not taking people's pictures unless they are in my "group" and we have an established relationship. I think most people are respectful, but I rarely allow my picture to be taken by others, topless, even with "friends". I can count on 1 hand how many people I have purposely let take my picture while the "girls are out having fun". If you are a participator (like in games), then you will probably have your photo or video taken because people like to remember what they saw. I took a small pocket video camera (also takes pictures) last year because I didn't want to risk my expensive camera falling overboard. As for the sexy pool, they are much more strict than they used to be. When we started going in 2003, tons of people took pictures, even without asking. All of this to say, if you are in our group (we are there the same week), I will help watch out for you so that your picture is not taken if you do not want it to. :whisper: That's what I do now. We have developed a signal (my husband and friends) so we can hide our face if a camera is out and we don't want to be in view. ~Jill~
Oh, and I also one who likes to make questionable decisions while enjoying my drunken state of mind ~Jill~
