Even if we have free transportation, we still book through USA Transfers.

We've used USA Transfers from our first trip to TTR, the first couple of times just to the resort and the milk run shuttle back to the airport. Our thoughts were just get us to the resort as quickly as possible and when we're done who cares how long it takes to get back to the airport. We've gone by both routes our first trip we didn't know to ask about the quicker route and maybe it was just our good luck or the time we arrived seeing as Steve lives there he can correct me if I'm wrong but we found the difference to be between 5-10 minutes longer the long way round. But we really didn't notice the time at all we had a great driver who pointed out different things along the route we felt in no time we were there. We did notice one thing after that first trip which has us booking USA Transfers every time since just how much quicker you get to the resort versus the milk run. Our first trip we had got to the resort, checked in, went to our room, changed, had lunch and were enjoying our first of many cocktails around the sexy pool when I nudged her and said hey that group that just walked in the couple that's in front of everyone wasn't that the couple that sat in front of us on the flight down here. As it turned out it was.

If for some reason you choose not to use USA Transfers.. and I don't know why because I use them all the time now.... when having your luggage loaded into the public van by the driver, flash a folded $10 in your hand (don't let anyone else from the company see or he'll have to share it with them) and ask "TTR first?" Usually they will say yes and then you shake on it.

That worked for me every time and the repeat people on the bus were always confused by the new direction. :)

What concerns me is the shared shuttle driver must be drunk since it looks like he spends quite a bit of the trip driving in the water. I will stick to USA Transfers. :)
