That's a downer - and totally the opposite of Desire. There we had to keep asking them to make the drinks LESS strong!

I'm a Crown guy and Stacia is a Gray Goose & Syrac girl, and it's hard to get either at the resort. You can get Crown inside at Nice Shoes, but the soda isn't actually Coke or Sprite, it's the Mexican variant of same, so it doesn't taste quite ... right.

What I've done in the past is to simply buy a bottle at the Duty-Free on the outbound leg to Cancun, and pick it up and bring it to the hotel with me. You can even take it to the Sexy Pool (or other) bar, and they'll put it behind the bar and make drinks with it for you, no problem. Or, you can do it yourself in the room if you prefer, but that means you're going back-and-forth each time you finish a drink. That time interval for finishing the present drink to moving on to the next one is sped up quite a bit at TTR, so think carefully about how you wish to proceed.

I brought my own sugar free red bull and gave it to the bartender. They had stoli then if you specifically asked for it. Then when I walked up he would pull both and make me another. I think I gave him $10 up front and a dollar every drink. Never had to wait. Always picked me out of a crowd. Not sure how this will work now that they actually sell redbull at the bar. I guess I will just buy it from them or ask for glasses of vodka on ice and mix it myself at the chair.

So you buy it before you depart to Cancun while states? I didn't realize you could do that. Do you then have to put it in your checked luggage before security? Sorry for the sill questions, we don't fly internationally very often.

Don't know about the states but when we leave Canada there is usually a duty free at the airport depending where you are leaving and they jst send it on the plane with you with your carry on and it is sealed. If there is no duty free available from your airport or if you are leaving before it opens most pack it well in their checked luggage with bubble wrap etc. before they leave. We got mixed up last trip as we had a couple of connections and eventually had to throw our duty free in our checked bags last minute coming back. What a F#%king mess! by the time we got home we had a smashed bottle of Kahlua all over everything! Good job it was coming home and not going!
