I know I'm beating a dead horse, here, but it seems policy changes day-to-day, sometimes. Are a nice pair of jeans still viable in the specialty restaurants?
on one trip my husband was wearing a sleeveless shirt to dinner, at the door they asked him to change for one with sleeves. next trip, guys were wearing swim trunks and tank tops. So he just wears nice pants and button shirts now, just to be safe and not bother with changing.
I have never worn pants to any of the restaurants. I don't bring pants with me even unless it's bloody cold when we leave. I do wear some nice Tommy Bahama shorts and a collared shirt. Never had any issues. Just don't show up in board shorts and flip flops.
Just to clarify, when dining at Margarita's for lunch, no sleeves are needed. However, if you show up for the dinner menu at Margarita's, then men must have short sleeves on.
Personally I think that's kind of sad. In the evening when they try to get a bit fancier I think it's too bad if a few drive it down to jeans. Don't get me wrong, I'm happiest nude, but when the ladies dress up do should we.
I can see this point. Although, I love guys in a nice pair of jeans (preferably BKE carter jeans) and a button down.
These days jeans arent just jeans, they are a fashion statement. There are some fine looking jeans out there which could be dressed up very nicely.
