I just booked Dreams Cancun on Expedia it came out to around 1190 including jet blue direct flight for 4 nights. I'm wondering if I overpaid and if the hotel is too family oriented, eg no spring break girls stay there. I booked it mainly for it's proximity to the clubs. I read some horror stories about Oasis Cancun and I imagine it wouldnt be any better during maximum capacity. Anyone know if there is any way to get around the pentalties of the package if I wanted to cancel?

Mate It sounds a bit expensive to me for 4 nights, just my opinion though

To be honest, all the hotels on the main strip are close to the clubs.

The Dreams is a good hotel - it gets pretty decent reviews on the whole.

I think you can cancel an expedia package with no penalty if you do it within 24 hours of booking. I don't know if there is an official policy that allows you to do it but I know people who have done it. Call them up, if one customer service rep won't let you, hang up and call again til you get a more helpful one.

After 24 hours, it'll be a lot harder to cancel without penalty.

Depending on if he has the whole room to himself. You can't compare the price you pay per person with double occupancy with price someone pay if he has the room all to himself. I'm paying $1000 ($1200 with a $200 off coupon) for air + 5 nights at ME but I have the whole room to myself.

I'm sharing the room with a friend. I'm going to tell them I called yesterday and couldn't get through hopefully they can still cancel it. Thanks for the info.

Expedia was really nice about the whole thing. They let me cancel it and I'm now staying about the Riu Palace Las Americas now 5 nights for 1213$ Direct Jet blue out of JFK with Orbitz 200$ off coupon. Now, I can check out the other Riu resorts I guess. Doing it big 3/15-3/20 see you guys there! Honestly I was more concerned about being stuck with a bunch of old people, haha. Guess I don't have to worry about that as much now. Thanks for all the help guys.
