Have you guys looked in the shops along Tulum at all?

Take 1 of whatever you absolutely MUST with you, and then take an empty suitcase with you to bring back all of the killer deals you can find on this street.

Tulum Av (particularly the area between the Bus Station and Coba Av, which leads you back to the HZ) is one of the few places you can walk from one shop to another very easily (can't help it really) and see so many fantastic deals on so much fashion-inspired clothing and beach-wear.

If you haven't tried it - you simply MUST.

    Ah-ha!! Like I'd remember.
(Somehow these details quickly dissapear in the fog that envelops me when I go to Cancun)

Take the bus (go during the day so you can see) and get off once you're past Chedraui's (if you don't know where it's at, just ask - there's only one Chedraui's and even the bus driver will have no problem alerting you to where it's at. Along the right (south?) side of the street (the side of the street you'll be on if coming from the HZ), there are strip malls which are set back from the street. They look interesting, but not interesting enough for me to go there (yet). On the OTHER side of the street (where you'd catch the bus to go back), there are shops upon shops of little botiques, right off the sidewalk, just like in any big city. Many don't have front walls, so you can see into the whole store from the sidewalk and there are just so many interesting places (with very cute and inexpensive clothes)...
