I spoke to Chinos today, and he confirmed that the fund raise will be an ongoing effort, even after the race. So, donations will continue to be accepted via the donation page: Kindness for Cancer Donations The current total is just short of $6000! Great job to all that contributed! Anyone at Temptation on Sunday 12th, the race starts at 7:00 am - so come and cheer everyone on. I'll be there at 5:30am (the things I do!). After the race there is a band set up in front of the hotel for a post race party - playing for a couple of hours, and there will be a presentation of the funds raised. Those who have roadside rooms might want to bring earplugs or come join us out front. Sorry for the late reply, my travel back from the UK got in the way. If you're there before the 12th then try and find Stephanie (ex Ents Staff), any of the current Ents staff will know her - she is staying there until Sunday. If you're there Sunday come find us out front early morning, I'll be there and Chinos too (when he's not running).
Just realised you meant September, the race is 12th August. You're signed up for the Boobs Cruise on the 5th Sept so you can give your donation direct to Chinos on the day if you like.
Chinos, I had the good fortune of meeting you on a cruise in February 2012. You never let on that your health was failing you nor the journey for treatment was arduous. Instead, you ensured that everyone had a drink, a smile, a laugh, and a fond memory. Those are the acts of a strong and honorable gentleman. Good luck with the race tomorrow.
