Wow, our trip Sept. 28 - Oct. 5 cost us $2875 from Calgary. Of course if you're from Edmonton there is a huge tax as so many people are trying to leave that city haha, gotta love city rivalries
Yup, the flights are direct. We're about a 5hr flight away so probably more expensive. Plus air travel in Canada is taxed to a ridiculous amount.
Agreed, I think when we book anywhere Ali must comb about 20 sites for the best prices and it's almost always Expedia with the lowest.
Yeah I should have been more clear, this price also included insurance ($300) and is for 10 nights. And yes we do fly out of Calgary. We had to book in smaller window this time that bumped the price a bit but not a ton. We're addicts so we keep a pretty good eye on all the big ones: iTravel, Expedia, Red Tag etc. We've also looked at booking flight and hotel separate but have only been able to work it to a $100-$250 savings....sometimes. After you pay for transportation to the resort its not worth not having someone to call if something goes wrong (in our opinion).
There's no doubt you guys out east get better deals than we do in the west. Met a lot of people from the east there and they always paid less. Flight is a bit shorter but it shouldn't be that much of a difference. We always fly direct too, so that bumps it up for sure.
We just paid 2200.00 at Redtag.ca.You should have got the insurance from a bank it only cost us 119.00 for the year.
We fly from western Canada it is ALWAYS more expensive than flying from eastern Canada. We just paid $2,800/week. Usually when we go in April it is well over $3,000 But honestly it is worth the money in our minds!!!
OW!! I have to say, sure does make the members rates look pretty awesome...... 10 days set us back just over $900......just had to find cheap flights.....
