Does anyone have experience shipping things into the country?

    I would suggest FedEx, DHL or any other courier service rather than regular post. Using regular post contents may get stolen or not arrive at all. It may be more expensive but at least you know it will get there safely.

    If you use Fedex or DHL etc. to ship in clothes, you'll be charged 50% tax of the value on top.

    My dad sent me my suit from England and it cost me another 2000 pesos in taxes when it arrived (double what the suit was worth!)

    Regular post they don't seem to be a strict, but it takes longer.

    I sometimes have things shipped by regular post - it takes a long time to get here though.

    I just got an xmas card from my sister she posted on December 3rd...
