Do you have to listen to the timeshare speech or no?

    I certainly don't want to take 5 hours out if the day. I'm hoping to skip the tour, and breakfast and cut straight to the chase. Only have five days, time is important.

    So does anyone know the minimum amount of time you have to spend to ensure the people that referred you get their $250? I think i heard 1 hour or 90 mins but want to be sure.

    We are going on a referral in early November. I am sitting down and saying don't waste your time. You have <insert whatever the min time is> and then starting a huge clock hung around my neck flavor flav style so they can see the time going down as we talk.

    Our first trip on a referral we spent the 90 min (45 min breakfast - 45 min in the war room-skipped the tour) with no intention of buying. After the 90 min I told them we were not going to buy anything and I wanted to sign the presentation paper work. I only had to say it a couple of time lol. Our second referral we bought our membership..so it didn't matter how long we spent lol

    Oh there is some paperwork you have to sign at the end of the presentation so the member gets their $250?

    Makes it a little more difficult for me to just throw my hands up in the air and walk out when we hit the time limit.

    There was prior to the reopen..I can't speak for the new presentations but I imagine they are still doing it. It has some bs about if you don't buy now they can't solicit their timeshare to you again for another year.

    When you are done tell them this:

We make a living doing business at home and will not do it while away. If we do decide to purchase in the future we will tell you at that point.     I'll let you know the week before, because we are on one too, and are certainly not buying. I've been told to skip the breakfast and tour, so that is the plan.

    Let me know how that goes because that sounds exactly like how I would be! Lol can't stand the pushy sales tactics. Tell one guy no then he goes and gets another "manager" ect..ect.. the presentation would be better suited toward the end of someone's trip I would think. Hell let people see what you have to offer before trying to get them to sink thousands of dollars into your place. Not to mention they would be high on excitement and the energy of the resort toward the end and possibly be an easier sell.

    I agree partly with you.

    Their reasoning is twofold, ménage-a-trois and foursome . . . .

    1) They don't have to track you down at the end of your trip, it's easier when you arrive and are checking in.

    2) They offer you "extras" day 1 that you can use throughout the trip, such as upgrade to Premier from day 1 of that trip, coupons, gifts, etc.

    3) Maybe you'll just say yes to finally begin your vacation and get on over to the sexy pool.

    4) Take your $$ before you spend it

    we made the mistake or going to one thinking it may be some discount for future trips. The guy just went round and round in circles and did not get to any point or prices. After an hour plus, I told him I had had enough and left. Fortunately I was under no obligation to let him waste my valuable holiday time.
