I have afriedn who just called about getting her's expedited so she has it i enough time to go to Ireland. They told her that even with expediting it the back up is huge and it still could be 2-4 weeks. I'd say if you live near an office where they do walk ins that may be your best option right now.
I would also agree that it would be worth a drive to the office. But I would also try to call again. There is a big note on the website that says if you are traveling within 10 days to call a particular number. Chances are the lady that you spoke with was disgruntle and just didn't want to help. I would try another call in hopes of getting another rep that may be of a little more assistance. Good luck and congrats on getting married!
I am going to Cancun! Beleive it or not, it was absolutely painless. I walked in, told my story waited 20 minutes and they called my name to give me my envelope. We are leaving Monday!
