Passport Crisis!! I am getting married Saturday & we are supposed to leave Monday on our Honeymoon Monday March 26 for Sun Palace. My fiance and I applied 9 weeks ago for passports & he has already gotten his. We had been checking the status on the website in which it went from saying mine would be completed March 8, then it said March 17, and now it is saying 10 weeks from the time you have applied. After hours of waiting on hold, I finally got a live person and they are saying that they are waiting on the New Orleans office to respond to the first email that I sent 2 weeks ago. I asked the lady for suggestions and she stated she had none. I went to my travel agents office and tears began streaming down my face as we began looking for other locations. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any suggestions? Is there anything that I can do about this?
I cannot make a suggestion to you for your current predicament, but I will suggest to all that still need to get a passport: Spend the extra $60, get it expedited from the Government. It takes approximately 10-12 days to receive the document. I hope they will provide you with an option for expediting as well, helydoma
Not sure where you live, but my buddy is driving to one of the head offices in downtown chicago to get his gf's in person!
