I think you make a good point there. The Radio station has a duty of care when they offer a contest or any type... Also, while it is clear that they didn't WANT anyone to die, they also blew off a caller's warning that this is a dangerous practice (in fact they made light of it). I'm not a physician, nor have I ever known anyone to die to this way~ yet I was aware that drinking excessive amounts of water can be dangerous. (Point I'm making is that it is somewhat common knowlege). This is in addition to the previous tragedies mentioned above (Ie: frat stunts, etc). Surely these sad events would motivate the Radio station (or any other entity considering a contest of this sort) to consider the consequences of their actions.
