I think maybe more of us than Tom would be interested in how this is working in Cancun.

I think you need a US billing address as I do have a friend or two who uses my US address for this purpose.

To me this would be an informative an interesting topic to read on this board.

    Thanks,
    T.J.

TJ - I also know someone who can set this up, with or without a U.S. address, but I doubt any of these guys that do this want their contact info on a public board, being pirates and all. ;-)

    Good point.

Maybe this is where Disney got the idea for "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Maybe someone will advise me of their take on this by PM or email.

You can PM me I am not into the Pirata stuff, but I can set you up with a legal address and make it work. We try to stay with Standard Definition. Will explain more after receiving a PM

Actually, I've been thinking about it. I cant stand Mexican TV and even with having sky it's just 500 channels of crap. Thing is, I dont know much about US TV and whether I'd find it any better than what we already have.

I know the rough price for setup etc, but what is the monthly cost? I'm paying around $70 a month for Sky and wondering if it may be a better alternative.

Now if you could get UK TV than I would definitely pay good money for that

Steve, I just did your neighbor across the street, Tom. Go have a look at this system although he has HD. I don't recommend that as with rrgular Dish you only need 1 dish.

Being married to a Brit, that was a consideration for us. We get BBC America. You can check their web page for programming info. BBC News is, of course, current. Entertainment shows tend to be 2 to 3 weeks behind the UK. Series, like MI5 ("Spooks" in the UK), Torchwood, etc can be anywhere from a month to a year delayed, but if you're only here, it sort of doesn't matter 'cause it will be new to you.

In any case, hodamayo is the guy to go to. He's dead honest and extremely competent.
