Thanks Steve~! By the way, CancunCare is looking amazing! Hope you're doing well. The Verge, and it's 10 Million Readers, just did a story on this. Hopefully the word is getting out on these Booking Engines. Thanks for your support of Tony and Cheri, my man.
All good thanks, long time no see. Hope all is good with you. Here's a follow up on this story: One small hotel's long nightmare with Expedia (update) | The Verge
shoot i just booked thru expedia, hope i dont have any problems....staying in cancun at golden though!
I've tried expedia a couple times and I don't find that particularly true. It is just very convenient for one stop trip shopping. It cost me 500 dollars less to set up my trip to Temptation by looking at alpharooms and a couple airlines than it would if I went on Expedia only. Hell it cost $200 dollars less on Orbitz.
I'm also in the travel industry, although not with a travel agency, or a hotel. Expedia seems to really be trying to push others around lately. They tried to strong arm our company into doing business "their way", but fortunately for us, when push came to shove, they needed us more than we needed them. It worked out for us, but a small business like a single hotel has very little chance to get Expedia to do anything the "right" way.
Luna Blue I love this Hotel. I have not stayed in the room's, but have met people for Happy Hour at this wonderful little well managed Hotel. I just posted a notation and the link on my FB and asked people to please share to inform themselves of what Expedia Owns and what control they have as well as how they bully their customer's and support businesses. Thank you for posting this Steve.
Apples and Oranges,, I fly out of Canada. Expedia was 800$ cheaper then Orbitz at the time Things change all the time
