I lost 150 lbs on they old weight watchers. then they changed to low carbs and I gained 50 lbs back, I just cant do the low carbs. I still eat low fat and high fiber deit but I need to move more, when in all comes down to it in calories in verses calories out. Excerise is the fountain of youth!
My 2 cents on this. I drink at least an 8oz glass of water before I eat anything and I think it works. I don't eat as much and I feel full after eating. I also go to the gym every other day. One other thing my cousin is a cosmetic surgeon in Philly and well I might have been to,see him once or twice in the past 8 years. Anyway good luck and do what makes you feel good life is short enjoy!!!!!
Any of you that know me, know that I am an off season bodybuilder. I have been doing this a very long time. You all have the right ideas with your "diets and exercise) #1 it has to fit your life (its now a lifestyle not a diet), you need to be able to do it daily (cardio 20 minutes minimum), whatever that takes (sacrifice) #2 you have to be able to afford it, economical whatever you want to call it. (I spend thousands of dollars a year, 10s if you include food) #3 processed foods are bad, shopping on the outside is your friend, (except bread, milk, cheese hahahah) #4 you need time to make all this happen, something has to give. (Less sleep, less husband/wife time, something) #5 COMMIT TO YOURSELF! Its about you, and only about you, if you fail its your fault, not the diet, not the coach but YOU. (If you lie to yourself your doomed) I will sit down with all of you Feb 8-15 and have a good chat about this, I am very passionate about it. In 2003 I started training for my first contest, in 2006 I ended up having a Son, and my life changed! Bodybuilding no longer fit, so I stopped, did the dad thing, etc etc. In Feb 2009 in mexico, I was the most unhappy I had ever been, at 255 pounds @ 36.6 % body fat, the light went on one day when I was standing naked infront of the mirror and I could not see my junk when I looked down I started training again, dieting, and doing whtever it took to drop my weight. I lost 70 pounds my first year and stepped on stage at 196.5 pounds, the lightest I had ever been. How did I get there? I got a coach, paid them money every month and put my money where my mouth was. I never am going back, I still use them to this day (weighed in on Sunday Jan 5th!, same mirror, hehe) I took my BRM (Basic metabolic rate) and split it 60/40 protein and carbs Clean protiens for me are chicken, white fish and some red meats Clean carbs for me rice, potato, yam The trick for me was to weigh and measure and calculate everything down to till calorie, and an hour of cardio and weights a day. Its a commitment I made to myself. So Years later I have been trying to contest diet again, but cant get my brain around the whole thing, but thats a conversation that requires drinks Feb 2013 I came into Temptations at 222, when I got home I was 237, even my coach is dumbfounded by the weight gain. I ate what I wanted, I drank like a fish (dam tom colins) and I partied my a$$ off. Another year has gone by, I am currently 232.5 and going down, I wont make 222 like I did last year, but I am 5-8 pounds of muscle heavier too, I guess the fact is that I am leaner than I was last year. You guys will have to be the judges. Over all, I guess my point here is that if you want to make the changes, you have to calculate it out, commit to yourself whole heartedly with everything you have and MAKE IT HAPPEN. On a side note, I have been on both sides of the fence, and will accept you, exactly as you are right now. To you my friends I salute your looses, I salute your gains, and I salute your efforts to make yourself healthier.
