    As one poster said, it just a math problem. Calories in vs calories out, BUT you also need to eat CLEAN calories. We are not overweight but constantly have that proverbial last 5 pounds to dump in the problem areas on both of us (sucks being your own worst critic). We cut ALL processed sugar, added salt, bread (including pastas), unneccesary fats like cheese and bacon (almost killed me) and booze for a couple months. Basically turned into a paleo diet for a while, but now I can eat most of the "no" foods now. Now we dont count calories any more and can seem to handle all the good calories we can eat, so basically lean meats and veggies as much as we want. A few folks at work are keto, but the successful ones are STRICT about it, and all the other keto kids failed cuz its so easy to cheat and kick your body out of ketosis, so you have to start again. You can do it, but with a short timeframe you'll need to be strict as fawk to succeed.

    I do my fitness pal and have a fit bit that yells at me if I don't move enough :)
    I am cutting out sugar and cokes and lord help me bread ..I am a bread freak I have 2 bread machines lol
    I have the 21 day fix portion control cup things so that will help with that part of it
    my main goal is calories in and out
    thanks for all the advice and I am going to keep it all under advisement

    so far 5 pounds down I found my cheat .. I only count the calories my fit bit says I have .. and I only do my myfitness pal stuff right before bed so I don't go ohh I have 500 extra calories I can have cake lol .. but found out I have a meniscus tear and a different one in my knee ..and I have 2 tears in both hips lol so explains the pain hehe..going to the ortho on the 23 ..so only upper body workouts now ..don't want to make it worse

    I cut out carbs, up my water intake and dont eat within 2/3 hours of going to sleep. Works wonders.

    Cut sugar and you will lose weight so easily! We love diet evolution by Dr gundry. It changed how we eat overall once we learned how much sugar was in everything.

    You cannot exercise your way out of a bad diet.
    And yes it is true, abs are made in the kitchen...easier said than done!

    yup I am sticking to my 1200 a day diet .. I am just glad I can still do an upper body with weights ..makes me feel better

    Hubby and I are also doing Keto. We are 2 months in and he’s down 30 & I’m down 15. We have 2 months until our trip. We are nervous how we’ll do once we’re there with all the yummy food ... and abundance of alcohol. However you come to TTR - flaunt the hell outta what you got!

    yeah i'll be a big girl on this trip ..but by march when we usually go back ill have the healthy body that I want ..
    funny thing everytime I gain weight my boobs get bigger I started out a c then I was a ddd and now I don't fit some of my bras lol
    only good thing about the pool being deeper my boobs get lots of lift lol
