V, Romney came across as confident without being arrogant and as being a rather normal guy. Obama, on the other hand, came across as dazed and seemingly in a trance. To be blunt, Romney came across as much more Presidential than Obama. It didn't rank up there with Channel 12 at TTR, but it was interesting.
I just get tired of everything being someone else's fault. When is Obama going to take some responsibility and say that he has to take ownership of what is going and quit blaming Bush? It was interesting to see how he fumbled through a real debate and instead of being coddled onThe View. I do think Ryan is going to clean Biden's clock.
Based on from all the facts I read, the most important thing was that Mitt Romney wants to cancel Big Bird... :ranting1:
lamo but on a serious note i guess the thing that astonishes me more than anything else when it comes to spending is the way the media portrays every spending cut as evil do others notice this idiotic tendancy as well and follow just how f'n gullible the general public is to it? let me make it quite simple to the bleeding spending hearts of the world how things work in the REAL world one has a defined amount of dollars generated with the clear understanding above...then one has a defined amount of dollars one can spend ONE CANT SPEND MORE MONEY THAN THEY HAVE so the harsh reality of the matter is if you have to cut big bird, little bo peep, social security or homeland security in order to stay within budget then that is just the way it is you cant candy coat that in any shape or form the other day t came to me and said, she wanted to buy a new outfit (was not in the budget for that month) so i politely said " i love you my dear wife and want nothing more than for you to get whatever your heart desires, but you have a large enough brain to understand that in order for us to make that purchase something else within out budget is going to have to go - so you pick what we are going to do without this month - will it be that outfit or our food for the last weekn of the month" your call babe - ill be good with either one cmon people rob
Not sure how the unemployment numbers declined. Looks like something is fishy!!! We need real employment with big salaries not pay cuts with Obama.
i'm just waiting for obama to open up the oil reserves and magically drop oil prices back down..... So that I can afford to fill my oil tank..
Yes, isn't it amazing how Obama tanks at the debate and then suddenly gets a surge with a magical drop in unemployment figures. Even our left wing "Buffalo News" is now stating that the drop is mostly due to people taking part time jobs to survive. So here's the Obama/Biden logic, they think it's great that someone who had been making $30 an hour and lost their job but now they have a wonderful job that takes them off unemployment and pays them $10 an hour. And yet, many people will vote for these two clowns just to keep getting their "free stuff" until the money runs out. What should we cut first? I think the free cell phones would be high on the list along with free everything else. How about maybe not having a program that tells illegal aliens how to apply for food stamps and other forms of welfare? That might be a good start.
Romney got the attention of the voters with his debate performance, but now he needs to build on that. He's got the vote of the well to do: now he needs to focus on the concerns of the less wealthy, and reassuring them that he has plans that will improve their financial security. His talk, yesterday, about further limiting inheritance taxes (which are currently imposed on only the largest 3% of estates), and on further limiting taxes on capital gains, seemed mainly aimed at those who already would support him, and a waste of "air time". If there must be talk of reducing taxes in spite of the large deficits, let it be of reducing taxes on "earned income", not on inherited wealth and passive income. _________________________
The one thing that I think most Americans do not understand about inheritance taxes is how destructive they are to the small business. Ironically the mega wealthy can plan much easier to pass on their wealth than the small business owner who has to, or wants to, maintain control over their business. I agree that he is preaching to the choir to some extent, but the middle income "choir" has got to step up and help his candidacy as much as they can. On a side note, did you see the flack that Stacy Dash got for endorsing Romney? She even got death threats from the racists that support Obama. I guess liberals are only liberal if you agree with them.
