Did I pay too much?

I don't think you overpaid. We go to Jamaica as well and it runs about a grand higher than Temptation. We paid less than you for our next trip but that is because we fly from Atlanta. The least we have paid in the last 7 years was $1,200 for 7 nights. Prices have gone up in the last few years it seems for airlines, so we paid $1,400 for 5 nights this time. Also depends on time of year you fly.

$312 per night on a referral week? What the f@*k? We are going for Halloween on a referral and it's $174 per night.

 

I agree with tw1mempho, and others, it sounds like a good deal!

I don't think we ever paid more than 175 a night at Temptation. Last Oct we did the DR at 80 a night and it was awesome! Vacations are precious and its important to shop for bargains.

 

Doesn't sound bad, but next time shop around 4-5 months in advance. We found a coupon code for Cheaptickets.com and landed 8 nights/9 days out of Louisville, KY for $1,742.40!!! Only 6 more days to go!!!!!

Those prices that are being tossed around seem extremely cheap, the last time I checked it was going to be 4000.00 for two leaving Nova Scotia Canada and I like TTR but not that much. Sure hope we can find prices more acceptable to a working class couple .

 

We paid $160 a night through Alpharooms in July for 8 nights. With airfare, $2200 from Dallas.

have found over the years that booking about 8-12 weeks out works best.

 

Its amazing the amount of people we have met that dont price shop at all and then are shocked at how much cheaper it can be.

 

I'm getting $2500-$3000 from NB...might be worth a couple hours drive.

 

Nobody pays to much to go to TTR..always worth every penny
